Oluwadamilola Olooto
Senior Auditor

Hi, auditors around the world! My name is Oluwadamilola Olooto, a Senior Auditor at Mazars in Nigeria. I have extensive experience in the auditing and accounting of financial statements across various industries, including FMCG, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, and others. For me, auditing is a team effort. So I strive to drive all engagements I lead with a focus on delivering high-quality results and promoting knowledge-sharing as a standard practice. On top of this, I take pride in providing value to my clients' businesses by assisting with their corporate reporting and compliance needs.

What is the biggest challenge in audit transformation you recently faced?

Time management and efficiency are significant challenges in today’s audit profession. The amount of time invested in performing various audit-related tasks manually, such as documentation and reviewing financial statements, could be better utilized for data analysis and providing business and risk solutions that add value to the client's business. This aspect of audit transformation was personally challenging for me.

And how did you solve this challenge efficiently?

The emerging trends in tech and innovation have demonstrated that it’s here to stay. At Mazars, we take pride in utilizing audit automation that enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of our procedures.

Datasnipper has been instrumental in reducing the time spent on repetitive manual documentation streamlining the review process for managers and partners. The continuous updates of Datasnipper have further fueled my enthusiasm to leverage the tool, resulting in improved quality in my deliverables.
